NORSU Campus Marketplace uses one cookie to keep you logged in, and saves a few settings in your own browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.

1. What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small piece of information a website asks your browser to keep and send back on each visit. Browser storage is similar, but it stays on your device and is never sent to us.
2. The cookie we use
campus_marketplace (essential): remembers that you are logged in and protects your forms against misuse from other websites. It holds a random code, not your details. It is sent only over secure connections, cannot be read by scripts on the page, and is deleted when you close your browser or log out.
The site cannot work without it, which is why it doesn't need your consent.
3. Cookies from Cloudflare
Cloudflare, which protects the site against attacks, may set a short-lived security cookie (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance) to tell real visitors from automated traffic. These are not used for advertising.
4. What's saved in your browser
- campusMarketplaceTheme: whether you chose light or dark mode
- campusMarketplaceAccount: your name and photo, so the page can show them right away
- campusMarketplaceFavorites: the items you saved with the heart
- campusMarketplaceCart: the items in your cart
- campusMarketplaceOrders: your recent purchase requests
Favorites and cart are kept separately for each account that logs in on the device.
5. What we don't use
No analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies, and no tracking pixels. Google Fonts, which provides the text font, does not set cookies.
6. How to clear or block them
Logging out removes the login cookie. To remove everything, clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser's settings. Your favorites and cart will be lost, and you will need to log in again.
If you block cookies for this site, you will not be able to log in.
