Please read these terms before using NORSU Campus Marketplace. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.

1. Who can use the marketplace

You must be a currently enrolled student to create an account. The details you give us — your name, email and student ID — must be true and your own.

You are responsible for your account. Keep your password private and log out on shared computers.

2. Listing items

You may only list items that you own and are allowed to sell. Describe the item honestly, use real photos of it, and state its condition and price clearly.

Mark an item as sold, or remove it, once it is no longer available.

3. Items you may not sell

The following are not allowed:

  • Weapons, explosives or anything dangerous
  • Alcohol, tobacco, vapes, drugs or prescription medicine
  • Stolen, counterfeit or pirated goods
  • Exam answers, graded work or anything that helps cheat
  • Adult content, or anything illegal or against school rules

4. Buying, payment and meetups

Purchases are agreements between students. NORSU Campus Marketplace does not take payments, hold money, ship items or guarantee any sale.

A purchase request is a message to the seller, not a payment. Agree on the price and a meetup in Messages, meet in a public place on campus, and check the item before you pay.

5. Messages and behaviour

Be respectful. Do not send spam, scams, harassment or threats. Do not ask for or share passwords, bank details or other private information.

We may remove listings or messages, or close accounts, that break these terms.

6. Reporting and how we enforce these terms

If a listing or a student breaks these terms, tap Report listing in the item's details, or Report account on the seller's profile, and choose what is wrong. Only administrators see reports, and the person you report is not told who reported them. You can report the same thing again only after your earlier report is reviewed, and up to 10 reports a day.

An administrator reviews every report and may, depending on how serious it is:

  • Leave things as they are, if no rule was broken
  • Remove the listing (the seller is told why)
  • Suspend the account, which hides all of its listings and stops it from logging in
  • Delete the account for serious or repeated problems, or when the owner asks

You'll get a notification once your report has been reviewed. Please only report real problems: false or repeated reports to harass someone are themselves against these terms.

For anything urgent or dangerous, contact campus security or the authorities first.

7. Your information

We store your account details, your listings and your messages so the marketplace works. Your favorites and cart are kept in your own browser.

We do not sell your information. Other students can see your name on your listings and in messages you send them.

The Privacy Policy explains this in full, the Cookie Policy covers what's saved in your browser, and the Security Policy covers how accounts are protected.

8. No guarantees

The marketplace is provided as it is. We are not responsible for the items, the people you deal with, or any loss or dispute between students. Use your own judgement and follow the safety tips on the About page.

9. Not affiliated with NORSU

NORSU Campus Marketplace is an independent student project. It is not operated, endorsed or sponsored by Negros Oriental State University, and the NORSU name is used only to describe the campus community it serves.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the marketplace after a change, you accept the updated terms.
